Gear up in Central Park, Denver, and get ready for a half marathon through the stunning natural preserve of Bluff Lake Nature Center, conquer the hills of the Sand Creek Trail, and sprint on the fast and flat stretches of Westerly Creek. Whether you are a casual runner or walker or a seasoned endurance athlete, this event promises to tantalize the senses as it pulls you into the rural setting of a serene urban environment.

Join this race single or put together a team and support each other! Enjoy the journey from a thriving park to quiet natural peace. Spot wildlife on your way through the course, and finish with friends and family cheering you on!

 

Do the Doubles!

The shortest is 1 mile and the longest distance is 13.1 miles, the opportunity exists within the structure to actually complete the following distances on the day; 1 mile, 5K (3.1 miles), 10K (6.2 miles), 7.2 miles (1 mile + 10K), 9.3 miles (5K + 10K), 10 miles, 11 miles (1 mile + 10 mile), half marathon (13.1 miles – with the 5K + 10 mile / or by just the half marathon), 14.1 miles (1 mile + half marathon) or 16.2 miles (5K + half marathon).  Registration categories exist for each of these opportunities; 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, 10 Mile, Half Marathon // ‘Doubles’ – 1M+10K, 1M+10M, 1M+HM – 5K+10K, 5K+10M, 5K+HM – Pick your poison.

Parking

 

There are several parking lots for Central Park along MLK Blvd. and there is some parking available at the recreation center at the East end of Central Park. Ample parking is also available in several locations to the South of Central Park along MLK and in the adjoining neighborhoods.

 

Directions to start:

The Start/Finish Line for all events is at Denver's Central Park at Stapleton, 8801 E. Martin Luther King (MLK) Blvd. The intersection is MLK & Xenia Street. Xenia Street is located between Quebec and Havana.

Awards

Awards for overall winners in each event in addition to age group awards in ten year increments.
