Introduction
Feat on the Street, Inc. (FOTS) is a Colorado based corporation that develops, manages and executes run/walk events. The majority of the events are cause-related and provide both nonprofit beneficiaries and for-profit partners with direct access to the expanding consumer market of active, educated professionals who participate in run/walk events as part of their active, healthy lifestyle. In addition to FOTS owned events, FOTS provides premium services including event development, management, marketing and consultation! The goal of Feat on the Street is driven by a combination of two things; primarily, that the running community is inclusive of phenomenal people who care about the community in which they live and who are interested in contributing through fundraising, volunteerism and overall contribution. Secondly, we recognized that there were small, local nonprofits that had made an impact in my life or the lives of those around me. Their work was being done on a daily basis – creating value in our community through tremendous work

How We Got Started
The goal of launching Feat on the Street was really driven by a combination of two things; primarily, that the running community is inclusive of phenomenal people who care about the community in which they live and who are interested in contributing through fundraising, volunteerism and overall contribution. Secondly, we recognized that there were small, local nonprofits that had made an impact in my life or the lives of those around me. Their work was being done on a daily basis – creating value in our community through tremendous work.
Market Outreach
Operating primarily in the United States, FOTS helps to analyze and access active markets that support competitive and recreational endurance sports events. FOTS provides comprehensive partnering in event development and management, providing nonprofit and for-profit organizations the opportunity to access the most profitable per capita competitive and recreational endurance sports markets. FOTS reaches out to more than 100,000 event participants per month through opt-in email subscription, providing high-level HTML targeted marketing to its event partners. Each email is exclusive to a single FOTS event or a specific FOTS event series. This branding exposure conveys the message that event partners are active in the community and drives their brand to the consumer through this message.

TESTIMONIALS

Now that the dust has settled and the event is over until next year, I wanted to take a moment to let you know how much we appreciated working with you and the Feet on the Street crew for the 2013 Lucky Laces 5k/10k and Little Leprechaun Fun Run. As you know, DenUM’s most steadfast and dependable support has always come from individuals committed to our mission. For us, the great benefit of Lucky Laces is that the 1600 racers, the spectators, and passers-by in City Park now know more about DenUM and associate us with a fun and well- organized springtime event. A number of people I knew in the race told me how much they enjoyed it, and the next day I met a woman I didn’t know who recognized me from the DenUM table at the event. She too told me how well run the race was, how much fun she had running it, and how she was very glad that it supported DenUM. We’re excited that we were able to email the runners to thank them for their participation afterward – and even better, only a very small number unsubscribed from our emails. That tells me that FOTS did a very effective job marketing the race and publicizing DenUM in the process. Just as importantly, I appreciate your efficiency, competence and availability in the weeks leading up to the event. You and your staff were helpful, easy to work with, and knowledgeable about every aspect of the event from logistics to publicity materials to marketing demographics. You made it easy for me to make the case for sponsorship, and easy to serve our sponsor with signage and T-Shirt placement. The day of the event, Feet on the Street staff were available to answer all our questions and help out with whatever we needed, and the after party was fun and well organized. Thanks again for all your hard work, and for Feet on the Street’s generous contribution – we’re already looking forward to next year’s Lucky Laces!

Nick has a unique history with Denver Children’s Home (DCH) and has been working with me for the past two years. In that short time, our partnership has become a proven asset to DCH. In the short time that I have had the pleasure of knowing him, he and I have had very thoughtful conversations about the children and families that our organization serves. He then puts those thoughts into very effective action, which has provided invaluable resources for DCH. I continue to be impressed by Nick and Feet on the Street. Event Management is not an easy task, but he and his staff manage to do it with dedicated enthusiasm. Each one of them expresses their genuine interest in supporting the race beneficiary to the best of their abilities. Nick is a very hard working individual that has a true passion for helping others in our community. I am very fortunate to know him and maintain such a beneficial partnership with Feet on the Street. I highly recommend a partnership with Feet on the Street and am confident that it will quickly become a valuable means of support for any non-profit organization in our community. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

NACAC truly appreciates your help in not only creating the End of the Day 5K fundraiser, but for also helping us manage this race over the course of two years in Denver AND Toronto. The insight and knowledge that you provided were invaluable. You and your team were transparent and very easy to work with – from the contract negotiation all the way until the final runner crossed the finish line – you guys stepped up and guided us along the way. The 5K events that you helped manage for NACAC have been a boon for our Imagine Grant fundraising activities. In the past we relied on raffles to help raise funds for Imagine, but our members grew weary of that program, so we had to do something new...and the 5K Run/Walk was it. Over the past two years, this race has helped us generate over $30,000 in funds for high school counselors in need – more than double what we made over any two years conducting a raffle. So again, we thank you and our members thank you, too. Thank you, Feet on the Street, and thank you Nick for your hard work and dedication. NACAC wishes you the best in all your future endeavors and please let me know if I can serve as a reference for you to other prospective business partners. I will be happy to do it.
Sincerely, Terence Thomas, Director, Sponsorship and Marketing, National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC)
